John Jantunen

John Jantunen has lived and worked in almost every region of the country and has translated his experiences into seven novels, a dozen screenplays and twenty children's books. His second novel Cipher was shortlisted for a 2014 Kobo Emerging Writer Prize and his fourth, No Quarter, for a Shamus and ReLit Award. In for a Dime, his sixth novel, was published by ECW Press in the spring of 2022 and his next, Mason's Jar, is forthcoming from the same in 2023. After moving to Kingston in 2020 he co-founded the cultural journal Cannery Row Press with his partner Tanja. Its ninth issue was released in August of 2022.
